For 'not the favorite child,' Dongo creates designs that refuse to be ignored—bold, unapologetic, and impossible to overlook.

DONGO is a London-based fashion label founded by Dong, a designer whose work merges personal narratives with bold creative expression. Born in Hongcheon, Korea, Dong's journey has spanned Toronto, New York, and London, where he cultivated his artistic voice through experiences across diverse cultural landscapes. With a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute and an MA from London College of Fashion, Dong has honed his skills working with renowned brands such as Oscar de la Renta, The Row, and Burberry. His graduate collection opened LCF MA25 at London Fashion Week, marking a pivotal moment in his career as a disruptor in the fashion industry.

For Dong, fashion is more than aesthetics—it is a personal language of identity, conflict, and resistance. Inspired by themes of oppression, conformity, and societal expectations, his designs reflect his lived experience as a queer person and racial minority. His aesthetic is built on contradiction: traditional yet rebellious, uncomfortable yet intriguing. Each piece merges structured tailoring with fluid silhouettes, blending elements of tradition and rebellion to evoke a sense of discomfort yet intrigue.

More than just a fashion label, DONGO is a platform for fostering community and embracing marginalized voices. With a mission to create space for those who feel unseen, the brand encourages collaboration and dialogue through creative projects. Through DONGO, Dong envisions building a space where people can connect, share their stories, and feel empowered to embrace their individuality. His ultimate goal is to create a movement where underrepresented creatives can find belonging and support, using fashion as a powerful tool for empowerment, connection, and cultural revolution.
